Robin on the roof
Each year, EPUMC holds a very important mission event -- Robin on the Roof -- to help raise money, food, and awareness of food insecurity in Tarrant County. The event is put on with the help of Christian Community Assistance, and many community members, multiple churches, and businesses to help our neighbors!

Greenbriar School partner
At the beginning of each school year, EPUMC collects uniform pieces, socks, and underwear for the students at Greenbriar Elementary School. We also provide a luncheon for the teachers and staff. We are always at the ready to partner with Greenbriar iin any way that we can!
Blessing Bags
All year round, EPUMC members gather to collect items and prepare blessing bags to be shared with those in our community who could use some help - we collect it all - from easy to carry food and drink products to hygiene items. Once the bags are prepared, our congregation takes them to share with those in need.
Care Bears and Stuffies
Twice a year, EPUMC collects new, stuffed toys that will be delivered to Cook Children's Hospital. This is a fun mission to get involved in! The day before delivery, all the animals collected are displayed on the altar and are prayed over. They go towards helping sick kiddos in the hospital feel a little better by receiving a stuffed toy while they're recovering.
Clean water for Laos
Our own Dawn Lewis is leading the cause to help provide clean drinking water in the country of Laos through a company called TerraClear. If you would like more information on this very important mission opportunity visit their website by clicking on TerraClear.
Laos is a rapidly developing country, but not everyone is keeping up. People need clean drinking water in their homes and schools. A study published in 2018 revealed that 87.7% of the water consumed in rural areas of Laos still tests positive for E.coli contamination¹. Community water supplies are difficult to build and maintain in rural areas. Our mission is to drastically reduce the number of people drinking from contaminated sources.
Ceramic Pot water purifiers are widely used around the world to filter water. Extremely small pores in the ceramic are highly effective at the removal of bacteria, protozoa, helminths, turbidity and other suspended solids. The ceramic elements are infused with antibacterial silver to provide a permanent, secondary defense. The TerraClear Ceramic Water Purifier reduces bacteria by >99%.
These filters, produced locally, are ideal for Laos as they need only gravity to function, require no ongoing consumables and are intuitive to use. Each filter produces and stores enough drinking water for a large family.
